God commanded Aaron to bless the children of Israel with these words:  "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." (Num 6:24-26)  God's blessing is to shine His face or show his countenance on His people.  Like the sun that shines continuously, the love and grace of the Lord always shines on His people.  The moon has two important points in its journey.
